Run Reigate 5k Race Surrey: Why Should You Run It?

It seems like only yesterday that we launched our Run Reigate Half Marathon race back in 2013. The ‘ups’, the ‘downs’, the ‘positives’ and the ‘negatives’, combined with our unconditional love for running, is exactly what fuels us to continue creating, promoting and organising these events for the running community.

#5YearsRunning later we are delighted to announce the launch of our brand new Run Reigate 5k Race Surrey. This Run Reigate 5k race is a fully closed, single-lap route that starts and finishes in Reigate’s beautiful Priory Park. Here are 5 reasons you should sign up for the Run Reigate 5k Race in Surrey:

1. Fully closed event

Fully closed 5k races are usually the reserve of big cities which makes this a truly unique run. Run Reigate’s 5k race is a single-lap route which allows you to take in a combination of picturesque country lanes and rural countryside to give all our runners an exceptional visual treat.

2. Challenge yourself

A 5k distance is a very achievable goal for both beginners and intermediate runners. With just under 2 months remaining until the Run Reigate 5k Race on 16th September 2018, this is the perfect opportunity to challenge yourself to get active this summer.

3. Motivate yourself

Registering for the Run Reigate 5k Race Surrey commits you to being part of the event. Knowing that you’ve committed to running this 5k race in September will provide you with that extra level of motivation to get outside (or into the gym) to train for it.

4. Charity

Running in an organised event is a great way to raise money for a charity close to your heart. If challenging yourself isn’t enough to make you sign up for Run Reigate’ 5k Race, then perhaps raising money for charity will? We’re also donating £5 from every entry directly to our charity partner Stripey Stork.

5. Celebrate your achievement with friends and family

This year we are providing our biggest and best event village to date. To commemorate #5YearsRunning there will be the fabulous mouthwatering Jellyfish Food Festival, a Kids Active Village with fun activities for all the family, all accompanied by our live band on stage to get the #5YearsRunning celebrations started.

Our partners and charities will be there also with fun activities and competitions to get involved in.

Cost: £20 (including booking fee). We donate £5 from every entry to our charity partner, Stripey Stork!
