Travel & Parking

We recommend cycling, running or walking to the event if you live locally.

Reigate is just a few minutes from junction 8 of the M25 motorway, and is served by the A25 from Dorking, and the A217 from Gatwick. If you are planning to drive we ask that you car share where possible.

We have secured just over 1,800 parking spaces with local Reigate businesses, all are within a 5-10 minute walk from Priory Park and the Start Line. The cost to park is £4.00 for the full day – all proceeds from the car parks will go directly to our charity partners who will be collecting at the gates on the day of the event. Click here for car park locations.

Reigate Station is within a 10 minute walk of Priory Park and Redhill Station a 10 minute drive away.  Latest timetables can be found on the National Rail website.

Pre Event Warm Up

On the day there will be a lively and energetic warm up for all runners before they head out onto the course.

Toilets & Changing Facilities

Toilet facilities will be available in the Event Village near to the start line. There will be no changing facilities so please arrive ready to run.

Toilets will also be available at all water stations on the Half Marathon and 10k  routes.

Baggage

To ensure a COVID safe event for 2021 unfortunately we will NOT be offering our usual baggage drop facility.  Governmental advice is to limit contact/touch points wherever possible.

Therefore please limit what you bring to the event and come ready to run. Any bags should be left with family / friends or in your vehicles which can be parked within a few minutes walk to the park.

Half Marathon Pacers

Xempo will be providing pacers for the half marathon this year.

Medical Support
There will be a strong presence from our medical providers at various points along both route and in Priory Park near the start/finish.
Road Closures

This event takes place on fully closed roads. Closure times and maps can be found below. If you plan to drive, please check road closure locations and times before you travel.

Water

There will be water stations along the Half Marathon and 10k route. Additional water will be available to every runner at the finish line, including the 5k runners.

For 2021 we are aiming for a more sustainable solution. Through our partnership with SES Water we will be using paper cups and eliminating 24,000 plastic water bottles. And all water will come exactly as it does at home, from a tap!

If you prefer to drink from a bottle please bring one along as bottled water will not be available.

Event Village & Spectators

We love our spectators and we know our runners do too, the noisier the better. Please encourage friends and family. to come along and support you and all our runners on the day. Look out for our DJ at the Beehive Pub (who are also offering a great brunch!), our energetic drummers just before that killer hill and a Samba band on the final stretch into the park.

Once you have crossed the finish line you will be able to relax in our Event Village, whilst it may be a little smaller this year we know you will all bring the same fabulous energy and atmosphere as in previous years.

Event Day App

Next week we will be launching our event day app where you will be able to find all the info you need for the day as well as see results and get your medal offers.

We are excited about this and will email you again when it’s ready for you!

Volunteers

There’s still time to join our happy esure RaceCrew….behind the scenes we’re busy putting together a huge 300+ volunteer team to look after runners and spectators in Priory Park and along the routes; volunteering is an extremely rewarding experience and we’d love you to get involved.

Our thank you will be a memorable experience, breakfast on the day and a free race place for our 2022 Run Reigate event!

6th year and I’ll be back for number 7! Great race and well organised from start to finish. Better set up than a lot of Marathons! Definitely worth doing
This is a great race. The distance is perfect for younger kids. It is a great experience with all crowds and medals! Would definitely recommend.
My first time running this course and, as a novice runner, I cannot fault anything about it. The organisation on the day was superb, the people were friendly and welcoming. A magical day for me.
Run Reigate is my favourite running event of the year with 2019 marking my third time running this half marathon. The festival-feel is great and the organisation is much better, and human, than you'll find at many other larger events
It was an amazing race - really well organised and supported! Loved every second!

Coronavirus Update

We are sure you are all wondering if British Airways Run Gatwick scheduled to take place in just 8 weeks time is still going ahead. In light of the fast moving developments around COVID-19, regretfully we have taken the decision this weekend to postpone the event. Whilst we are extremely disappointed for us and all of you who have been training, our first priority is always to protect the health and well-being of our runners, volunteers, partners and the wider community and this is coupled with the need to not put additional pressure on our local and emergency services.

Our new date for the event will be Sunday 18th October and we absolutely intend to deliver the full British Airways Run Gatwick experience for everyone but as you can appreciate, the next few months are uncertain and therefore we will keep you updated regularly.

We are also aware that many other running events are also postponing to the Autumn period and British Airways Run Gatwick may clash with them and we know that many of you will have to choose between us and other great events. There’s nothing we can say other than we really hope you will still join us. Your entry will automatically be carried over to the new date so there is no action for you to take.

We know you may have some questions particularly around deferrals and transfers, so please bear with us over the coming days as we want to ensure a streamlined and consistent response to you all. Updates will be emailed directly and posted on the Run Gatwick website and our social media channels. Please could we ask you to wait for those updates rather than emailing or asking for updates via social media, this will really help our small team in these difficult circumstances.

Our running and local community are incredibly supportive and we’d like to thank you in advance for your patience, understanding and continued support whilst we work on new plans to deliver a fantastic event experience for everyone in October.
